WHAT IS NEUROTRANSMITTER TESTING ?
A personalized look at the chemistry involved in mood, stress, focus, sleep, and overall well-being.
Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers involved in communication throughout the nervous system and play important roles in processes such as mood, stress response, attention, sleep, motivation, and emotional regulation.
Through her partnership with M2 Institute, Alexia offers access to convenient take-home neurotransmitter testing. The test kit is purchased directly through M2 Institute and completed from the privacy of your home.
Once testing is complete and your report is available, you may schedule an individualized report review with Alexia to walk through your results, better understand the information provided, and explore how it may fit within the larger picture of your emotional and behavioral wellness.
Neurotransmitter testing is intended to provide additional wellness information and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, laboratory evaluation, or treatment by a physician or other qualified medical professional. Services offered nationwide.
WHAT IS EMDR ?
Evidence-based trauma treatment designed to help the brain process what it couldn’t process then.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based, trauma-focused psychotherapy approach designed to help people process distressing experiences and memories that continue to affect the way they feel, think, respond, and relate in the present.
Using bilateral stimulation within a structured therapeutic process, EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to reprocess traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences so that the past no longer carries the same emotional intensity in the present.
EMDR may be incorporated into therapy for trauma, painful life experiences, anxiety, negative beliefs, relationship wounds, and other experiences that continue to feel emotionally “stuck.”
Alexia is trained in EMDR Levels I & II and integrates EMDR within a trauma-informed approach tailored to the individual.
EMDR psychotherapy is available to clients located in Florida and Colorado.
WHAT IS DANCE/MOVEMENT THERAPY?
An evidence-informed, body-based approach to healing that goes beyond words.
Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) is a psychotherapeutic approach that uses movement, body awareness, and the mind-body connection to support emotional, psychological, and physical well-being.
Based on the understanding that the body and mind are interconnected, DMT provides another pathway for exploring and processing experiences that may be difficult to access through words alone. Movement can help increase self-awareness, support emotional expression and regulation, reconnect individuals with their bodies, and uncover patterns held beneath conscious awareness.
Dance/Movement Therapy does not require dance experience or ability. Sessions are individualized and may incorporate movement, body awareness, creative expression, and verbal processing based on each person’s comfort level and needs.
Alexia is a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT) with more than two decades of behavioral health experience, an undergraduate minor in Dance, and has provided Dance/Movement Therapy across clinical, recovery, medical, and community settings.
Dance/Movement Therapy services are available nationwide.
