THE FOUNDER

ALEXIA CHRISTIANA IOANNIDES

Alexia Christiana Ioannides is a Licensed Professional Counselor (CO), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (FL), Qualified Supervisor, and Registered Dance/Movement Therapist with more than two decades of experience in behavioral health. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Levels I & II, an evidence-based, trauma-focused approach to psychotherapy.

Throughout her career, Alexia has served as Clinical Director of a dual-diagnosis treatment facility, co-founded and operated a group outpatient practice in Palm Beach for ten years, and provided dance/movement therapy to cancer patients at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She currently serves as a Behavioral Health Care Surveyor for Joint Commission.

Her work has been featured in the Palm Beach Post, Palm Beach Daily News, and Stuart Magazine. In 2019, she facilitated dance/movement therapy for students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School through Camp Shine.

Alexia is also an M2 Institute Practitioner, incorporating neurotransmitter (brain chemical) testing and personalized report review as an additional resource for clients seeking greater insight into their emotional and behavioral health.

She is the founder of The Alithia Project — born from her own breaking and dedicated to helping artists and creatives who struggle with mental health challenges while connecting them with resources for recovery.

Alexia currently resides in downtown West Palm Beach, Florida, and enjoys spending time with her friends and family, her beloved chocolate Maltipoo, Samson, the beach, and dancing.
